Racing a 100-miler in 2014

I began running in 1994, at age 24 while in graduate school, and for the past 25 years I’ve participated in and covered the sport of road and MUT (mountain/ultra/trail) running. I’ve raced at distances on varying terrain from the 5K to 100 miles, and also four times earned podium finishes at multi-day, self-supported stage races ranging from 155 to 170 miles.
